I've been waiting for Selena or Conrad to do the next posting, but they are all out for lunch while I am watching Makena take her nap ... so here I am again

I am definitely wrong about the orphanage shaving Makena's head! When I was a baby, it was customary to shave babies' heads to help prevent prickly heat. So, I just naturally assumed that was the reason Makena has no hair. We were told she never had hair! Imagine a Chinese baby without a headfull of thick black hair! When Kalia was a baby, she had enough hair for 2!

I still do not understand why China delays so much with the entire adoption process. when I look at the 2 year olds vs Makena at almost 11 months, what a difference in how the children are adjusting to their new parents and environment. Out of the three 2 year olds, after 3 days, only one is slowly coming out of her shock and trauma. The other 2 are not doing too well. Makena does not show any sign that she hasn't been with her new family forever. This little family of 4 appear like they've been together always! If I weren't here to witness this miracle take place before my eyes, I'd find it difficult to believe. Praise God for answered prayers!
